Hear The City is a festival of the local music community, although directed at the whole world. The main theme of the sixth edition of the conference is not an easy subject of collaboration. Collaboration understood in many aspects: between musicians, between cities, between different disciplines of art. On 11th and 12th November 2017, at Teatr Nowy Proxima in Cracow we’ll be looking for answers if we should collaborate, with whom, and how. During more than 20 panel discussion, workshops, lectures and presentations  we will be learning from experiences of international experts – musicians, promotors, managers, journalists and labels representatives. Come and have your share.

On 11th of November (Sunday) at 15:00 we will present the results of market survey on export activity of Polish music industry during the panel: "Music Export in Poland – Where are We?". The representatives at the panel will be:  Marek Hojda the vice-president of the Society of Authors ZAiKS,  Jan Młotkowski the heads the Communication Dept of ZAiKS and  Bogusław Pluta - MLC director of the Polish Recording Industry Association ZPAV.

The subject of the session will be the presentation and discussion the results of the Market Survey on export activity of Polish authors, artists and record labels.

Despite the fact that Poland has 40 million citizens and the music market has been expanding significantly (6,5% up in 2016), Polish music is known abroad mostly for classical music and jazz. In 2017 the Polish organizations: ZAiKS representing authors’ rights and ZPAV, representing music producers’ rights, with support of the Polish Minister of Culture conducted a special survey about current situation of Polish pop music abroad. The biggest Polish bands and music companies with experience in this area took part in the survey.
